Our people: Kayla Gordine's Daily Rituals
In our fast-paced world of modern multitasking, women often find themselves wearing multiple hats. While this juggling act can be challenging, our daily rituals can help to ground us and set us up for success.
Meet Kayla Gordine, a certified holistic health coach and founder of Āwhina Wellness. With a passion for fitness and a commitment to the interconnectedness of mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health, Kayla's journey embodies the essence of holistic living. Let's explore her Daily Rituals for Self Care.
Morning Ritual: What's the first thing you do in the morning to set a positive tone for the day?
My morning ritual is a big glass of water and a freehand flow of writing, also referred to as morning pages inspired by Julia Cameron’s book ‘The Artists Way’, to start my day.
Daily Inspiration: Could you share a daily practice or routine that keeps you inspired and motivated?
For me, this would have to be a beach walk, anytime of the day but preferably in the morning to receive inspiration from nature as a form of moving meditation.
Evening Ritual: How do you unwind and practice self care in the evening after a busy day?
Listening to new music or a favourite artist allows my thoughts to slow and reflect on the day that’s been.
Favourite Product: Is there a specific product of ours that you love?
The EmbodyMe oils have been my favourite product lately having had the opportunity to explore all four types. They have helped to shape the way I start and end my days with intention. Nourishing my skin is a new ritual that has impacted the way I look at and after myself in many ways.
Words of Wisdom/Words to live by: What's a piece of advice or words of wisdom that you might like to share in relation to self care or finding time for yourself?
Genuine intention lies at the core of all things. Our self-perception molds our identity, and embracing self-belief constitutes the ultimate expression of self-love. Daily actions, no matter how small, mirror the sum of our lives.
