Our People: Laura Mohi's Daily Rituals
In our busy lives, where women often juggle many roles, daily rituals help us stay connected and rejuvenated. Equally important is the power of learning from others. When we embrace the wisdom and experiences of those around us, we open ourselves to growth and positive change. By weaving these shared lessons into our routines, we can create a more fulfilling and harmonious life.
Meet Laura, a Pilates instructor with a love for nature and movement. She has combined the two to create her business Wild Pilates online, a studio is designed to encourage others to move their bodies in a way that feels good to them and connect with nature. She is passionate about all things wellness and feeling your best.
Morning Ritual: What's the first thing you do in the morning to set a positive tone for the day?
I always start with drinking lots of water at least 500ML, a very brief skincare routine then 20 minutes of at home Pilates and a nourishing breakfast within the first hour of getting up.
Daily Inspiration: Could you share a daily practice or routine that keeps you inspired and motivated?
I have a lot but for motivation I find I show up as the best version of myself if I have moved my body, that is why it is an absolute non negotiable. This is either one of my at home Pilates classes - I choose a class based on my energy levels and always take it easy when I need to or a long walk outside.
Evening Ritual: How do you unwind and practice self care in the evening after a busy day?
A lot of my day is spent online talking with online members or on social media so I make sure I am off my phone at least an hour before bed. I have a skincare routine that I love which has really helped with my confidence this year and also signaling that it's time to wind down and get ready for bed. After my skincare routine I always read for at least half an hour as the perfect way to turn my brain off.
Favourite Product: Is there a specific product of ours that you love?
I love the Kindness Nurturing Body Oil, it smells so amazing and is a reminder to be kind to myself and I love using this in my evening routine when i'm winding down for the day.
Words of Wisdom/Words to live by: What's a piece of advice or words of wisdom that you might like to share in relation to self care.
Self care is an interesting one because sometimes it can seem like a luxury, a treat you do on the weekend or your birthday, but I see self care as the daily habits you do to be able to show up as the best version of yourself - for your family, your business, etc. You might not always get everything from your self care list done each day but I aim for as many as I can. It's the basics, nourishing yourself properly, drinking enough water, moving your body in a way you don't dread, doing something for you - even if that's a 5 min skincare routine or turning your phone off for 30 mins and reading instead.
